Were there official news cameras at this event?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaiWCS10C5s

To be fair, it's hard to tell what was going on at many stages. At first look, the young man was not being violent or disrupting the event. From what I could see, he had his turn at the mic, and he asked his questions vociferously but not entirely belligerently. I did not see him get tased--there were some flashes of light and some screams, and you can hear someone commenting on the taser before Meyer screams--nor could I see his actions once they had him in the back of the room. Any words or commands spoken by the police before dragging him away were unintelligible. Kerry, according to all reports, was willing to answer his question. And I did not see the young man physically attack or even verbally berate the police beyond asking, again vociferiously and eventually with profanity, what they were doing and why they were arresting him. I would hope that matters like this would be investigated. I expect it to drop off the news radar pretty much immediately, however, assuming it saw any coverage beyond Internet and local.

Well, Mr. Meyers was at the mic and did ask his question, his mic was cut off which would make me very angry and flustered as well. Thats one reason why Meyers acted the way he did. He wasn't done telling everyone how he felt or what he knew about the election I just want to know why he was tazered, he wasn't threatening anyone, but he did have a bad aditude, once he got started with his presentation.

I think that he was not really doing anything wrong. He was being alittle agresive with his voice and the cop had asked him to leave a few times and he still refused and wanted to ask is question. I dont think the police handled the situation the way theu could had. If they had taken him out off the room I think things would had been diferent. The tasing was still unessary with the amount of cops that they had holding him down.

I think that he really wasn't doing anything wrong, however he was expressing his beliefs on a possible scandal that occurred, which could be a very sensitive issue. The only wrong things he did was use a few swear words and over react when they cut his microphone off, other than that I think he was fine. However, we as human beings have rights, first amendment of the constitution, FREEDOM OF SPEECH, which allows us to express our opinion. So why didn't they let him finish? And one more thing, was it really necessary to tase him when he was already on the ground with multiple cops around him? I think that was a little too much.

Well first off I don't think that the police handled that situation well at all. I have to say that the kid didn't handle well either especially when he was first being oppressed by the first two officers. They tried to escort him and he shrugged them off which was a stupid move on their part and ended in him lashing out. I watched a video that had what happened after. You know what they arrested him for? Inciting a riot. The officers claimed to have taken him away **in handcuffs** because he tried to "incite a riot". This i believe was total crap, he was making his point and was wrong in using some language that was questionable and also using the tone he did. He was very passionate apparently and wanted to make his point. He did just that.

In my opinion, this whole event was certainly staged, with the student purposely getting so angry and trying to get the attention of the police. The student was trying to make a point. Since is wasn't on any credible news stations, either it wasn't important enough to put on the news, or the news stations didn't have enough proof that is was credible. If this all really happened, and the police WEREN'T in on the "conspiracy" (they were just responding to a disgruntled man) then there is no explanation for the behavior of the policemen and women. Even if they didn't tase the man, they still had no less that 5 officers trying to subdue him, making it a bigger problem that it should have been.

i think that the kid was a little out of line. His first question was fair and good but when he started to keep talking and go on ferther and start to say things not faimly friendly. u can see the girl with the hat on tell him his time is up, but he kept goin on then they cut his mic. breaking the 30 second time limit by alot. and once the cops tell him to leave he should of walked out. insted he starts disterbing the peace. the cops forcfully take hime out, but they had do right to tazer him that was goin a little far, when he wasnt showing any theat to anyone.

I agree that it was staged... to some degree. He did do it to get a reaction, but the cops overreacred. They could have easily just kept taking him out the door, he was way out outnumbered, they used excessive force and tazed him Multiple times. All this for him trying to voice his opinion. He was ineed a little out of line, but this did not warrant the use of force that occured.

i agree with the previously posted comment because he really wasn't doing anything wrong. ya, he had a fit about it he could have been calmer about it all but i agree with everybody else. The police needed to handle that situation very differently. The one comment that sticks out is Timmy's, because he has a good point maybe the guy just wanted some publicity.

Well I agree with what everyone said, that the man could have been less aggressive and more respectful of the police authorities. I respectively agree that their is nor significant evidence proving that the young man was tasered. I was disturbed by this perhaps "prank" and I don't think people should get a kick out of watching this, because I don't believe it to be amusing at all.

I'm starting to feel less and less sympathetic for this guy. I've watched it again more recently with a different audience. They had different reactions to the video and felt zero sympathy for the guy. He was being a complete idiot and making a huge scene in a public setting and if the cops want to tase him, doing no lasting damage, then why should I care?

I certainly don't believe that this event was staged because the man was tased for no particular reason because he was already subdued. I believe it could have been staged but not to the extent that this innocent man would be tased for over reacting, which is generally a harmless thing. However, the officers did make it a bigger deal than it originally was. So I both disagree and agree to a certain extent to Timmmmmmy's comment.

he wasnt doing anything wronge i agree with eastmen there is no reason for wat the cops did to that its bullshit. im boycotting the police! anyone with me?

I really don't understand why he was tased? He was just trying to ask a question what happen to freedom of speech? I mean they cut his mic that is over reacting. I think the police did over react. They tased him for asking a simple question that Kerry even answered? So it wasn't any threat to Kerry so why take him away? I would have to agree with Eastman. That he was just stating his opinion.

polarisman042000 .... i think tht if he was not so agressive with his words the they might not cut off the mic on him. also he wanted the attention and definitely got it .... maby to much as a result the coppers tazed his buttocs.

I agree with timmmmmmmmy and brandon. It must have been staged. If it had been real there would have been more news coverage. youtube has a lot of creditable stuff on it and also a lot of turkey stuffing.... peace...the dude
